In Romance Academy, you play as a girl in school trying to make boys like you. You move around by dragging or clicking. Each boy has a little heart above his head. You click on him and hold until the heart fills. Then that boy becomes your friend and follows you.

But there are other girls trying to win the same boys. If they click faster, they may take a boy away from you. You only have a little time to win as many boys as you can. If you fill your own heart meter and keep rivals away, you get extra points.

There are different versions of the game. Some take place during festivals, others in school hallways. You try again and again, competing, managing your time, and collecting the boys with the biggest hearts.
