Mass Mayhem is a side-view action game where you control an armed character and launch guided missiles across a busy area. Your task is to hit targets, cause destruction and earn as many points as possible.
Unlike a normal shooting game where bullets travel in a straight line, Mass Mayhem lets you steer your missile after firing it. This gives you more control over where the explosion happens.
The game also includes achievements and a scoring system that rewards you for hitting several targets during the same attack.
Launch a Missile and Take Control
Your character can move around the level and choose a position before launching a missile.
Press Space to fire. Once the missile leaves your character, you can guide it with the arrow keys.
The missile travels through the air or across the level while you control its direction. You can aim toward objects and people to create destruction.
Steering takes some practice. Turning too sharply can make you miss a target. Try to follow a path that passes through several objects.
Build a Bigger Combo
Mass Mayhem rewards attacks that hit multiple targets.
A successful missile can create a chain of explosions and increase your score. The more you manage to hit during the attack, the better your result can become.
Watch how objects sit around the level. Some targets stand close together, while others need a different approach.
Choosing the right missile path can make a big difference to your final points.
Finish with an Explosive Attack
The game also lets your character perform a final self-destruct attack after launching the missile.
This adds another opportunity to score points. You need to think about where your character stands before using the explosive finish.
The action uses exaggerated cartoon violence, so it is not intended for very young children.
Try Different Approaches
Use the left and right arrow keys to move. The Up arrow helps your character jump. Space launches the missile, and the arrow keys control it during flight.
You can use the mouse to select menu options.
Mass Mayhem doesn’t require you to race against another player. The challenge comes from improving your attacks and completing achievements.
Try changing your starting position or missile route during each attempt. A different approach may let you reach targets you missed before.
